Uganda Lodge Newsletter March 2021

It has been a difficult 12 months for everyone but especially for many millions in Africa who, even in normal times, struggle each week to provide enough food for their families. Due to strict rules especially in the crowded cities, Covid-19 infections are very low in Uganda – in a year they have had less cases and deaths than UK had last week. In UK many children are returning to school again and so far Uganda has allowed both P7 and now P6 children to return, with the lower classes scheduled to start again in the coming weeks.

Uganda Lodge Newsletter December 2020

Christmas Greetings to all our friends and supporters of Uganda Lodge and the rural communities we help in Western Uganda.
What an unusual year 2020 has proved to be, and how badly it has affected so many of us both in the west and especially in developing countries like Uganda.
Never has there been a more important time to support our school so PLEASE SUPPORT A CHILD’S EDUCATION FOR £5/$6 a MONTH
I would be so grateful to you for taking the time to read this newsletter, and please do share it far and wide.
Firstly though, I’d like to hand over to my son Jason – who is now taking care of the challenging process of finding new volunteers.

Dear Friends December 2019

I hope this email finds you well. I returned home to UK a couple of weeks ago and before I left Uganda Lodge, our Director Denis Aheirwe asked me to message all our donors, sponsors and supporters to update you, thank you for your donations and continued support over the year and wish you a ‘Merry Christmas’.

Uganda Lodge Newsletter August 2019

Hello to all our Friends and Supporters.
Apologies for the long gap since my last newsletter at the end of November. I have been out to Uganda twice this year and every day is busy, especially since our bursar/coordinator had to return to the UK due to ill health of her father. We wish him well and thank Jen for the great work she did during the year she was out in Uganda. I still have all the charity & volunteers admin to do regardless of where I am. We really need more help, and especially with promotion and looking for new volunteers as well as sponsors and donors.
